Swedish Apple Pie

This is my go to fall dessert because it’s easy, quick and delicious.
This “pie” has sweet crispy edges and a tender middle bursting with apple chunks, serve with or without ice cream, but I highly suggest it!
Start by peeling, coring and dicing 4 to 5 medium size apples any variety that you enjoy into inch size chunks
Place the diced apples in an even layer in a 10 inch pie plate
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon over the apples
Then sprinkle 1 teaspoon sugar over the apples and set aside
Place one and a half sticks of butter in a small sauce pan and melt over medium heat
When the butter is completely melted, remove the pan from the heat and add in one cup of granulated sugar
One cup of all-purpose flour
And one egg
Mix all ingredients in the sauce pan thoroughly, you will notice that it starts pulling away from the side and almost has a greasy look to it. That is the consistency that you want.
Pour the mixture evenly over the apples
And bake in a preheated 350° oven for one hour, let cool completely before slicing. This pie will stay fresh in your fridge for up to four days and It reheats very well in microwave or in the oven on low heat
