How to Store Beef Brisket Sliders

Leftovers are possible, though we never have this problem with these delicious sliders. Here are some storage tips.

  • Refrigerator: Since the buns will continue to soak up the brisket juices we suggest keeping them only for a day in the fridge. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil, then place in an airtight container. Alternatively, you could remove the brisket from the buns and place in an airtight container for a few days. This amount of time will vary depending on how long you have had the initial leftovers from; if you just cooked a fresh brisket, you could keep it up to 5 days.
  • Freezer: Wrap each slider in foil, then store in a freezer bag for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight and reheat in the oven to help crisp up the buns.
  • Reheating: Warm in the oven, covered with foil, until heated through.

Top Tips

Here are some of our best tips to help you make the best sandwiches using leftover brisket.

  • Use Parchment Paper: Make cleanup easy by using parchment paper or foil on your baking sheet when baking a large batch.
  • Keep Buns Intact: Assemble as a sheet, then slice after baking for neat presentation.
  • Don’t Overbake: Too much heat can dry out the brisket— the best way is just enough to melt cheese and warm through.
  • Prep Sauces in Advance: Mix any dressings or drizzles in a small bowl or large bowl before assembling to save time.

Frequently Asked Questions About Beef Brisket Sliders

Do you have questions about making brisket sliders?

Can I use a different type of slider bun?

Yes— Hawaiian rolls, pretzel buns or any types of slider buns work well.

What’s the best sauce for brisket sliders?

Try white bbq sauce, homemade bbq sauce or your favorite store-bought brand.

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes, the buns will absorb the brisket juices, so we suggest assembling and wrapping in plastic wrap the day you plan to serve them for the best texture. Bake when ready to serve.

Can I use roast beef instead of brisket?

Absolutely, while smoked beef brisket has more flavor, roast beef makes a quick substitute.

Do I need to bake them?

No— you can also serve them cold or simply warm the meat before assembling for a no-bake option.
