Ingredients

  • 2 cups roasted unsalted peanuts (shelled)
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil (or other neutral oil like grapeseed)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions

Prep the Peanuts (if needed):
If using raw peanuts, roast them in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 10–15 minutes until golden and aromatic. Let them cool before processing.
Add to Food Processor:
Place the peanuts into a food processor. Process for about 1 minute until they become a crumbly mixture.
Continue Blending:
Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Continue processing for 2–3 more minutes. The peanuts will go from crumbly to a thick paste, then begin to smooth out.
Add Oil and Salt:
Add 1 tablespoon of oil and the salt. Blend again for another 1–2 minutes until smooth and creamy. If you want a thinner consistency, add more oil a little at a time.
Optional Sweetener:
Add honey or maple syrup if desired, and blend for 30 seconds.
Taste and Adjust:
Taste your peanut butter and adjust salt or sweetness as needed.
