Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour (packed and leveled)
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup pure maple syrup (or honey)
  • ¼ cup melted coconut oil (or olive oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate (optional)
Instructions

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line a small baking dish (8x8 inch) with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda.
Add wet ingredients: Add the eggs, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until smooth and well combined.
Fold in chocolate chips, if using.
Spread the batter evenly into your prepared baking dish. The batter will be thick — use a spatula to smooth the top.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
Cool completely in the pan before slicing. This helps the brownies firm up for clean cuts.
