White pumpkin is supposed to be a great vegetable especially for people who would like to lose weight.

Today we are going to learn as to how to make a tasty recipe with less ingredients but very tasty made in cooker.


Let's get into the recipe.

Cut the pumpkin into cubes like this.

Keep the cooker.

Add oil

Add jeera.

Add curry leaves

Add two red chilli

Add the chopped pumpkins

Add chopped tomatoes

Add a pinch of turmeric.

Add a handful of chanadal.

Mix everything and add water to it.

Cover the cooker and leave it for 4 whistles.

Take a mixi jar. Add 4 red chillis

Chopped or grated coconut

One spoon of jeera

One spoon of black pepper

Make it a paste.

Add that paste in the cooker and add salt. Let it boil for a while.

Tadaa 🎉 🎉!! Tasty and healthy white pumpkin kootu is ready to be served. You can pair it up with white rice and consume. Will taste delicious 😋 😋.

Ingredients for making white pumpkin kootu
  • One teaspoon oil
  • One teaspoon jeera
  • One string curry leaves
  • 4 red chillis
  • One teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Two tablespoons of chanadal
  • Half kg chopped white pumpkin
  • 5 nos of chopped tomatoes
  • Two cups of water
Making coconut paste
  • In a mixi jar
  • Add half grated coconut
  • One teaspoon of jeera
  • One teaspoon of black pepper
  • 4 to5 red chillis
  • Add water
  • Make it a paste
Instructions
Process of making kootu
Heat the pressure cooker
Add one tablespoon of oil
Add one teaspoon of jeera
Add one string of curry leaves
Add two redd chillis
Saute it for a while.
Now add half kg chopped white pumpkin
5 nos of chopped tomatoes
Two tablespoons of chanadal
One teaspoon of turmeric powder
Add two cups of water.
Cover it.
Pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
Add the coconut paste.
Add two teaspoon of salt
Let it boil.
Tadaa 🥳 🎉 🥳
