White Chocolate Popcorn With Sprinkles

This sweet and salty treat is the perfect, healthy-ish snack to serve at any party or gathering. It's fun, pretty, gourmet and requires only 5 ingredients. Plus, colorful food always tastes better!
What you'll need:
Popcorn: I love to make popcorn on the stovetop – it’s the healthiest, tastiest (and cheapest) way! Another good option? Use a hot air popper. You have more control over ingredients when you make popcorn using these methods.
White chocolate: your favorite brand!
Coconut oil: a dab will make melted chocolate easier to drizzle.
Salt: I personally like stirring salt right into my melted white chocolate, but you can sprinkle it atop the drizzled popcorn if you prefer.
Rainbow sprinkles: delicious, colorful goodness!
White Chocolate Popcorn With Sprinkles
Recipe details
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup popped popcorn kernels *about 8 cups after popping
- 2/3 cup white chocolate chips
- 3/4 tsp coconut oil *see tip below
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- Pop kernels using your preferred method (I prefer stovetop)!
- Add salt and coconut oil to your white chocolate chips. Melt them in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in-between. Be careful not to overheat your chocolate! It can burn, even in the microwave.
- Spread popcorn on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and pick out any un-popped kernels. Drizzle melted chocolate evenly over the popcorn.
- Add sprinkles to the chocolate drizzled popcorn, then wait about 15 minutes for the chocolate to fully set.
- Break popcorn into pieces and place in a serving bowl. Enjoy!
Tips
- Coconut oil will thin your melted chocolate, making it easier to drizzle atop popcorn. You can get by without it, but evenly distributing your chocolate will be more difficult.
