High Protein Pasta w/ Creamy Lemon Cashew Pesto

Get ready for this delicious and healthy pasta recipe! Not only gives you 24gr of protein per serving, (3x the protein and 3x the fiber of traditional pasta) and with just 17gr of net carbs compared to regular pasta.


So let’s get cooking!


1 package of protein pasta (Pastabilities)

Creamy pesto:

1 cup of basil leaves

1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil

1/3 cup of cashews (soaked overnight)

1/3 cup of grated pecorino cheese 

1 Tbsp of chopped garlic (2-3 big cloves)

1/2 tsp of salt 

1/4 tsp of pepper

Lemon zest 

1 Tsp of lemon juice

(Add a splash of pasta water for thinner consistency)


Start cooking the pasta according to package instructions. While this is cooking make the creamy lemon cashew pesto. 

In a food processor, combine the basil, garlic, cashews, olive oil, parmesan cheese, salt, peppers, and lemon zest +lemon juice. Pulse until smooth.  

When pasta is ready, drain and add desired amount of creamy pesto, garnish with more parmesan cheese and basil. 


(For a thinner consistency you may want to add a splash of pasta water and mix well)
