Honey Garlic Tofu
Recipe details
Ingredients
- 1 block tofu, drained and cubed
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Maple syrup (to taste)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 cup mushrooms (washed and sliced)
- 1/2 cup french beans
- 1 cup cooked rice
Instructions
- Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
- Heat the sesame oil in a large non-stick skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes to the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the tofu is golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- While this is cooking, drizzle the washed mushrooms and french beans with olive oil and add on seasonings. Pop these into an air fryer for about 10 minutes at 400F.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the minced garlic to the pan. Stir-fry for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
- Pour in the soy sauce and drizzle with maple syrup to taste. Stir well to coat the tofu evenly and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to slightly caramelize.
- Remove from heat and transfer the tofu to a serving dish along with the cooked veggies and a side of rice.
