Easy at Home Chicken Gyros
I like making this easy chicken gyro inspired dish when I need something quick with low effort.
Start off with store bough flour tortillas because this is supposed to be easy! I think it would also be really good on Naan or pita bread but the low carb balance is what I used to calorie reasons.
Lay out the wraps/pita and add ground chicken, mashing the chicken into each one. I then add a bunch of seasoning: onion powder, turmeric, sumac, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
On a griddle or blackstone, cook the meat side for 5 minutes and then flip over and cook the pita side for another 2 minutes.
At the same time, I make some french fries in the air fryer, tzatziki and a little salad.
The tzatziki is just lemon juice, dill, shredded cucumbers, yogurt, garlic, drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper to taste.
Now just assemble it all an enjoy!

For the gyros
- 1 package of medium sized flour tortillas
- 1 package of ground chicken
- onion powder
- turmeric
- sumac
- salt pepper
- garlic powder
- french fries
- cilantro
- red onion
- tomatoes
Tzatziki
- yogurt
- lemon juice
- dill
- shredded cucumbers
- garlic
- drizzle of olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- mash ground chicken into the pita
- add all the seasoning
- cook on a griddle on med/high heat for 5 min on the meat side before flipping over and cooking the pita side
- add all the toppings
