Honey Soy Chicken Thighs
Is there something that you cook each and every week? My husband loves chicken thighs, probably because they can be made in so many different ways and they stay moist no matter how you cook them, when they’re on sale, I usually buy big packs and break them up into smaller packs so we always have them on hand.
I’ve been making this honey soy marinade for years. I got the recipe originally from my mother-in-law and we mostly do this with wings, but I have found that marinating thighs in it also makes for a delicious meal.
Add one cup of your favorite soy sauce to a large bowl
Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 tablespoons of chili sauce
1/3 of a cup of honey, I would stick to just a straight honey no flavored types
Half a teaspoon of ground ginger
And finally half teaspoon of ground black pepper
With a whisk, mix this all up in the bowl until everything is combined thoroughly
Add your meat to the marinade in the bowl
Toss it so all of the meat gets covered
Cover and marinate overnight. I periodically shake this or go in and turn them probably four or five times so that they are evenly marinated. You can also do these in plastic bags if that’s easier for you I like to marinate meat that way.
Preheat oven to 350° and pour all ingredients into an oven safe 9 x 13 pan and bake for one hour until skin is browned and meat is thoroughly cooked.
