These Italian style meatballs in tomato sauce are one of my favorite recipes because they are the ultimate comfort food to me. They are delicious by themselves, made into a meatball sub, or served on top of spaghetti. They are also super easy and pretty quick to make. You really can’t go wrong! Since this recipe makes a lot of meatballs and I am only cooking two of us in our household, I like to freeze half of them for another day. To freeze, let them cool, place in an airtight ziploc bag and freeze flat. When it’s time to reheat, let them thaw in the fridge first and then bake, or reheat on the stovetop.
