Instant Pot Bacon Tomato Jam
Hi. Meet my newest addiction and yours- Instant Pot Tomato Bacon Jam.
This stuff might rank up there on my top 5 favorite recipes I’ve created this year… it is SO good. You’ll need to put it on EVERYTHING. Especially The Avocado Toast pictured below, using my Garlic Italian Load Bread. But, as I’m writing this I’m currently having it with my grilled cheese, and that’s pretty divine. Seriously, guys- Try this one! Put it at the top of your list!
So, so delicious! It has a little heat, smokiness, sweetness, acidity… there’s so much going on and it’s all going right where it needs to. And it’s a one-pot Instant Pot recipe! What could be better??
Look below for this recipe- you can pin it, or check out the video I made on Instagram and save it there if you look at that more often. Both are under the name @theflouredcountertop.
Enjoy!
Instant Pot Bacon Tomato Jam
Recipe details
Ingredients
- 1 Small Jalapeno
- 1/2 White or Yellow Onion
- 1 lb Roma Tomatoes
- 3 oz Pre-cooked Bacon Bits
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Liquid Smoke
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp White Vinegar
- 1/3 cup Water
Instructions
- Finely dice your Jalapeno and 1/2 an Onion, and chop up 1 lb of Tomatoes. Turn your Instant Pot on Saute mode and drizzle a little bit of Olive Oil at the bottom. Then add the Jalapeno, Onion, Tomatoes, and 3 oz Pre-cooked Bacon Bits. Stir them until fragrant, and the Onion just barely starts to become translucent. This should be about 5 minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients- 1/2 tsp Paprika, 1 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp Liquid Smoke, 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce, 1/4 cup Brown Sugar, 1 Tbsp White Vinegar, and 1/3 cup Water. Mix together, Then pressure cook for 5 minutes with a 10 minute natural pressure release.
- After 10 minutes, release the remaining pressure and turn it back on Saute mode. Stir occasionally, for another 10-15 minutes, until thickened. Keep in mind it will thicken a little bit more once refrigerated.
- When it's done, let it cool and transfer to an airtight container in the fridge. Enjoy on Avocado Toast, Burgers, Eggs, Sandwiches. My favorite way to use it is on Avocado Toast, using my Italian Garlic Loaf, Goat Cheese, Sliced Avoado, and Everything but the Bagel Seasoning sprinkled on top.

How can I Make this without an Instant Pot? Stove top? Oven? Slow cooker? I REALLY want to try this!!!
Can I cook my own bacon and chop it into bits instead of using store bought precooked bacon bits?
