Roasted Red Pepper Pinwheels
The other week I was picking up a drive through order from a local coffee chain and I noticed a new item on the menu. They were roasted red pepper pinwheels and I knew I wanted to give them a try.
I can honestly say that they were so yummy, I have been thinking about them ever since and knew I had to try to recreate them.
I’m pleased to say that my experiment worked out and mine might even take first place. My whole family devoured the pinwheels in no time at all!
Read below to find out how to make these delicious savory flaky treats!
Begin by rolling out a thawed sheet of prepared puff pastry.
Spread a thin layer of prepared Roasted Red Pepper dip over the puff pastry. The dip is easily available at most large supermarkets.
Sprinkle on a thin layer of shredded Swiss cheese over the red pepper dip.
Tightly roll the puff pastry lengthwise into a log and slice into 1/2” thick pinwheels. Brush on a little egg wash onto each pinwheel and bake until golden brown.
Let the pinwheels cool for several minutes before serving.
These delicious savory flaky treats are bursting with flavor, and I guarantee you will be going back for seconds and even maybe thirds.
I love how quickly this recipe came together, and it would make the perfect appetizer for any gathering.
Enjoy!
