Ok these pizza rolls are straight FIRE 🔥

If you are looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, you have found it! These pizza rolls are a fan favorite! Everyone in my household, from toddlers to husband love them.

All you need is your favourite pizza dough (our local butcher sells premade pizza dough… Score!), meat of your choice, pasta sauce, chopped veggies, and cheese for this quick and tasty dinner to come to life and under 40 minutes.

There are a lot of options when it comes to your protein, sauce, and veggies. Use whatever you’ve got! Some of my favourites include the pictured ground beef with mushrooms and peppers or barbeque chicken with barbeque sauce, corn and cilantro.

Hope you enjoy this quick and simple, but tasty dinner!

Ingredients

  • One ball premade pizza dough (enough for a 12 inch pizza, about 1 pound)
  • 1/2 pound, lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup sliced green pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced white onion
  • 3 cups pasta sauce of your choice
  • Garlic powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, red chilli flakes, pepper, and salt to taste
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (I like pizza mozzarella)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°. Grease a muffin tin with olive oil, spray or butter. Set aside.
And a large frying pan, browned, ground beef over medium high heat for about six or seven minutes or until almost cooked.
To the beef add in mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions. Sauté for about 6-7 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
To the meat mixture, stir in the pasta sauce. Season with the seasonings listed above to your preference. Allow mixture to cool slightly.
On a floured surface, roll out, prepared pizza dough into a rectangular shape about 10 inches long.
Place the cooled mixture on a long edge of the rolled out pizza dough. Sprinkle about half of the shredded cheese on top of the sauce mixture.
Begin to tightly roll the mixture and the dough tightly, pushing the dough away from you evenly. Stop when the entire mixture and dough have been rolled together. It will look like one big roll.
Use a sharp, serrated knife (or unflavoured dental floss) to slice your roll into 12 equal sections.
Place each section in a muffin tin cup. Top with a sprinkle of cheese.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until tops are golden brown and bubbly. Remove an allowed to call momentarily before enjoying.
Tips
  • Please note the recipe calls for pre-made dough. I find mine at our local butcher shop. You can also make your own dough however the recipe doesn’t account for that prep time.
