Caff Mocha brownies are so very delicious. You might even say they are irresistible. These two flavors have been my favorites for a long time. Especially when I get a blended drink from the local coffee shops. So I was very excited when I came across this brownie recipe.
What is Mocha?Mocha is a quality type of coffee made from a certain coffee bean. It's easily confused with the flavored drink, also called a mocha, which combines coffee and chocolate. Everything Mocha flavored will echo this coffee-chocolate combination, while something mocha-colored will be a similar brown shade.

Ingredients
Brownie Ingredients
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, melted and cooled
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- 1 C sugar
- 1 C light brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp instant espresso
- ¼ C warm water
- 1 C flour
- 1 C cocoa powder
- ¾ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mocha Frosting Ingredients
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- 3 C powdered sugar
- 3-5 TBSP heavy whipping cream
- 4 tbsp espresso powder
- ¼ C warm water
Ganache Ingredients:
- ½ C semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ C heavy whipping cream
- 1 disposable piping bag

- 1. Using a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tbsp of espresso and ¼ C water until combined and set aside.
- 2. Preheat oven to 350 and spray a 9x13 baking pan with Pam baking spray.
- 3. Using a medium bowl, melt the butter.
- 4. Using a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, oil, and sugars.
- 5. Whisk in the eggs and 2 tbsp of the espresso
- 6. Using a large bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder.
- 7. Gradually whisk in the dry ingredients into the wet.
- 8. Fold in the chocolate chips
- 9. Pour batter into the baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- 10. Allow to cool completely.
- Mocha Frosting Directions:
- 1. Using a small bowl, whisk together the espresso and warm water until combined.
- 2. Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream, and 4 tbsp of the espresso mixture.
- 3. If the frosting is soft still, gradually mix in an additional C of powdered sugar.
- 4. Continue to beat ingredients together until combined and stiff with peaks.
- 5. Spread frosting evenly over the brownies.
- Chocolate Ganache:
- 1. Using a small pot, bring the heavy cream to a boil.
- 2. Pour over the chocolate chips in a medium bowl and let sit for 1 minute.
- 3. Whisk until smooth.
- 4. Scoop into the piping bag
- 5. Cut the tip off the piping bag and drizzle over the frosted brownies.
- 6. Allow sitting in the fridge for an hour before cutting and enjoying it!
