Allow your rolls to sit and rise in a warm place for an additional 30 minutes. Cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap.

While your rolls are rising, heat oven to 375°F.

Transfer your rolls (pinch side down) to a greased cookie or baking sheet. You may need one large cookie sheet, or two small cookie sheets.

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Once out of the oven, brush with your melted butter and let cool on a wire rack.

While all-purpose flour will work in a pinch, bread flour or cake flour will create the softest homemade rolls. If you have neither on hand, you can use a combination of all-purpose and wheat flour. This will help to create soft fluffy rolls.

How to keep dinner rolls soft
homemade dinner rolls fresh from the oven

There are a few tricks to keeping dinner rolls soft.

The first is to use a soft flour, like cake flour, which will help to keep them fluffy. You can also use a little bit of sugar in the dough, which will help to keep them soft. Also, don't use too much flour.

Finally, you can brush the tops of the rolls with softened butter right before baking to keep them soft. This will add a bit of flavor and help to keep them soft.

This is a great recipe for holiday meals like Easter, Thanksgiving dinner, or Christmas dinner. It's also a nice side dish for a main dish with lots of liquid, like a soup or stew.

Add cinnamon and sugar for fast cinnamon rolls.

I've made dinner rolls and this is my go to best recipe it's Texas Road House Rolls and they are so delicious. 1 step: Ingredients: 2 1/4 tsp. Dry Active Yeast or 1 packet, 1 1/4C. Milk, 1/4 C. Honey, 4 Tablespoons Melted Butter, 1 Large Egg, 1 teaspoon Salt, 4 C. Bread Flour or any Flour really. 2nd step: Cinnamon Honey Butter: 1 Stick Butter room temp., 1/2 C. Powdered Sugar, 1/2 C. Honey, 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon or Chinese 5 Spice. In Med.pot scald the Milk by boiling then set aside to cool to room temp. Add Yeast, Honey, and Milk and mix and let it sit for 5 minutes. Put Yeast mixture, 3 Tablespoons melted Butter, Egg, 2 C. Flour into a Large bowl of a Stand Mixer (You can do this by hand if you don't have one.) Mix on low with the dough hook until it forms a ball about 2 minutes. Keep adding flour slowly until the dough comes together. Add Salt and continue to mix for 8 minutes. Flour work surface and continue to knead for 2-3 more minutes. Coat a large bowl with Olive oil spray or any kind you like if you don't have spray use regular Olive Oil. Place dough in it and coat it then cover it with a damp towel or tin foil that's been sprayed with oil or even plastic wrap place in a warm place and allow to rest for 2 hours the longer the better until it doubles in size. Spray 2 cookie sheets with oil set aside. Punch dough down and place on a floured work surface. Roll dough into a rectangle about 1/2" high. Fold over and gently roll to seal together cut into 24 squares and place on the sheet about 1" away from each other. Cover again and let rise for another hour or so. Preheat oven to 350 and bake 12-15 minutes until golden. Brush with remaining melted butter. While the rolls are in the oven do step 2. Place all in a bowl whip all together until combined. Spread on the warm rolls and enjoy. These are by far the best rolls I have ever tasted.
