Easy & Delicious Lemon Protein Shake

With 30g of protein, this creamy, easy lemon protein shake recipe is a delicious boost of belly-flattening, muscle-building protein.
I love protein shakes that include ingredients I can pronounce and count on one hand. Recipes that are healthy and bursting with flavor and do not taste like grass (for the love, keep kale out of my drinks).
I also happen to adore all things lemon and am a huge believer in protein as the secret to sustainable fat loss and living lean and fit.
Needless to say of all my protein shakes, this lemon protein shake recipe is my favorite to date and really does taste like a lemon dessert but without the empty carbs.

Bottom line, my very favorite protein is Orgain Clean Whey. And my favorite hand blender? This immersion blender from Amazon Basics is surprisingly budget-friendly for how heavy-duty it is. Pump it gently up and down in a large wide-mouth mason jar and it results in a deliciously frothy, creamy shake. One other hint to this recipe is using high-quality lemon juice. The cheap lemon concentrate is definitely inferior in flavor to organic lemon juice.

Easy & Delicious Lemon Protein Shake
Recipe details
Ingredients
- 1 c ice
- 1 banana
- 2 scoops vanilla whey protein
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 c 1% milk
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a wide mouth mason jar.
- Gently pump a hand immersion blender up and down until smooth and creamy.
