My frozen Pina Colada features juicy pineapple, creamy coconut, and tastes like a beach vacation. Best of all it only requires 4 ingredients and a few minutes!
I love frozen cocktails in the summer like my strawberry margaritas and my peach Bellinis. These frozen pina coladas are another go to! They are perfect for the beach, the pool, or even your backyard barbecue. It is impossible to drink this without a smile on your face! One sip, and you'll immediately be transported to white sand, bright sunshine, and crashing ocean waves. This recipe also makes u half of our Miami Vice drink.
- Rum: Choose white rum for its clean flavor and neutral color. I like Bacardi or Plantation. You could also use Malibu if you'd like even more coconut flavor.
- Pineapple Juice: I am partial to Aldi's pineapple juice. It tastes fresh with a good balance of sweet and sour.
- Cream of Coconut: Be sure to use cream of coconut NOT coconut cream. Cream of coconut is sweeter and thicker. I used Coco Real. Look for it near the mixers like tonic water at your store.
- Lime Juice: Use freshly squeezed for the best flavor. To get the most juice roll the lime on the counter and/or microwave for 15-20 seconds.
- Chill Everything: Make sure all your ingredients and glass are ice cold to keep your drink colder longer.
- Ice: Add more ice for a thicker drink, or use less fora thinner drink.
- Ice Matters: Use crushed ice if you have it. It blends faster and results in a smoother drink.
