Ingredients
- 1 box of lasagna sheets
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/2 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 500g lean minced beef
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- Salt
- Pepper
- Parsley / Italian herbs
Instructions
- Start by cooking the diced onion and garlic in a saucepan.
- Add the minced beef and soak up an extra fat with a paper roll.
- Add the tomato paste and herbs, salt and pepper.
- Add the tomato sauce and let simmer for 30 minutes.
- Line the baking tray with oil and preheat the oven to 200 degrees C.
- Add a layer of sauce to the tray then a layer of lasagna sheets.
- In a bowl, combine the cottage cheese and cooked spinach and mix together.
- Add another layer of beef sauce to the lasagna, then the cottage cheese mixture, lasagna sheets and repeat until mixture is finished.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella on top of the lasagna and bake for 40-45 minutes.
