Scare up some quick and spooky tortilla chips for dips or hummus using spinach tortillas and cookie cutters for Halloween.
Spooky tortilla chips are easy to scare up with tortillas and cookie cutters. I used skull and bat shape cookie cutters and spinach tortillas. You can use regular flour tortillas and the cookie cutters of your choice to customize chips for any holiday or occasion.
They're perfect for dipping and scooping Black Bean and Olive Hummus.
This hummus is easy to whip up in your food processor. It comes together faster than you can say, "Boo!"
Serve it to hungry ghouls and goblins and watch it disappear before your very eyes!

Black Bean and Olive Hummus With Spooky Spinach Tortilla Chips
Recipe details
Ingredients
Black Bean and Olive Hummus
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans; rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons tahini
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 (2.25 ounce) can black olives, drained
Spooky Tortilla Chips
- Package of spinach tortillas
- Cookie cutters of choice
- Olive oil or baking spray
- Sea salt
Instructions
To make hummus
- Mince garlic in the bowl of a food processor. Add all other ingredients processing until smooth, scraping down the sides of bowl as needed.
- Add additional seasoning (cayenne pepper) to taste. Garnish with paprika and drizzle of olive oil if desired.
To Make Spooky Tortilla Chips
- Using cookie cutters, cut out shapes in the tortillas. Place on parchment lined baking sheet. Spritz with olive oil or baking spray and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes or until chips are crisp, but not brown. Allow to cool and serve with dip or hummus.
