Ingredients
- 2 cans crushed pineapple 15 oz
- 1 cup maraschino cherries, halved
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 2 sticks butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare a 13x9 pan with nonstick spray
- Place crushed pineapple in pan
- Sprinkle cherries over pineapple
- Evenly distribute coconut flakes over the cherries
- Next layer on cake mix
- Pour melted butter evenly over the cake mix
- Bake 40-45 minutes
- Cool slightly, serve, and enjoy!

You don't mention if you have to drain the pineapple before putting in the baking dish. It seems like it may be too much liquid.

Is the pineapple drained, or do I use the syrup? I usually put brown sugar on after the pineapple. Can I still do that?
